The new year in the Golf Industry means new Golf Equipment! The PGA of America Golf Show took place in Orlando recently, and there are plenty of new products that will be rolled out for 2011.
If you watched any of the PGA Tour’s Farmer’s Insurance Open recently, you would have repeatedly heard about Taylor Made’s new Driver – the R11. Not only were players like Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose playing the hot new driver, more than 30 of the PGA players were dressed in all white, head to toe, to create some buzz around the launch of the new R11 Driver. 
I gotta say, the Marketing Team responsible for the “White-Out” on the Torrey Pines Golf Course for the Farmer’s Insurance Open hit a home run with that one. Nick Faldo and Kelly Tilghman made mention of the Taylor Made products multiple times during The Golf Channel telecast, which must have had the Taylor Made suits grinning from ear to ear. Rarely do we get to hear such strong product promotion for one particular golf product, not to mention one particular NEW golf product…
